The Kumani brand is a conceptualisation of an ambitious dream to revolutionise the way businesses operate in Mozambique while striving to be in line with the latest and finest applications emerging in the first world countries.
Kumani started as form of a solution to solve the limitation that distance has when it comes to purchasing goods of any kind. Our logo did a good job communicating this idea, visually informing that Kumani is the place where anything can be found and vocally expressing it from the name of the brand, Kumani, which means “to find something” a word that originated from one of the dialects in Mozambique named xangana. We started by targeting the clothing industry, by shipping products from one country to another, with the forward idea of expanding the product range and later on, turning it into a marketplace.
We aimed to represent quality. As our slogan says: “Quality is a Right”, and we provided quality in everything we did; from the way we worked to the services we provided, because before anything, for us, Quality is a Right.
By calling it ambitious, we understand that this was more than a clothing brand as it showcased; it was a movement to educate, bring inclusion, and incubate creativity in the Mozambican community in general.
